Urgent: How to disable RSS feeds

My site is private. How can I disable the activity and other feeds , especially for firefox? The following no longer works with 1.2.6. (http://buddypress.org/community/groups/creating-extending/forum/topic/disable-activity-rss/)
Plugins seem not to do it for bp.
