URL Encoding Abuse Attack Attempt

Something within BuddyPress is triggering this response from the mod_security server firewall – resulting in IP addresses getting blocked.

Seems worse when using Firefox – bizarre!

    Anyone else had this problem?

Did this happen on a vanilla BP install? WP/BP versions?

Hi! @mercime Sorry for the delay in getting back.
Problem is ONLY with Firefox. And only with my ‘live’ site not my development site.
Here is the development site: http://kenrichman.com/harc/
Here is the live site: http://www.harc-network.org
Firefox cannot load the front page.
If you have Firefox on a mac could you try it? If you get the same problem the firewall will block you from the site’s virtual server.
I am using the latest Firefox on a mac.

FF4 for Mac – both sites loaded fine for me.

I have logged in as a different user from my Mac, tried Firefox and it was fine, too. Something very odd about my Firefox. Especially as I have upgraded to the latest version and had this problem with both versions. And disabled all plugins and extensions. I may have to give up on this, as it seems I am the only one affected!

You’re right. FF4 for Windows – both sites loaded fine for me as well.
