I am working on a datingsite. I want to start using the activity stream as a speeddate function. Users can fill in a certain text field (hi, I am going to the movies, who will join me!). On the frontpage I would like to have some kind of widget that displays, solo that stream. Or, if that is not possible that the other users can filter these “shouts” in activity stream.
It seems simple? For instance: people can fill in “howdy, whats new jack?) so it must be possible?
I have been fooling around in bp-custom to just add a new post type but I failed.

Am I thinking the wrong directions?
