    WP/BP versions? What theme are you using? What plugins are activated in your install?

    @josefabiosan

    The WP version is 3.4.2 / The theme is custom COMMUNITY / Plugins are:
    Akismet
    bbPress
    BP Display Name
    BP Labs
    BP Show Friends
    BuddyMobile
    BuddyPress
    BuddyPress Activity Plus
    BuddyPress Media Component
    BuddyShare
    WP Maintenance Mode
    This error is from the beginning of the installation only with BuddyPress and theme.
    thank you

    It could be that Community theme has bad code, can you switch to bp-default theme and check?

    @josefabiosan

    I activated the default theme and let only the bbpress plugin, Akismet and BuddyPress enabled. still shows the error. I tested with another User and nothing new.

    Did you install WordPress with a one click type installer from your host or did you upload and create the database yourself?

    When you click mention does it go to the post form and put the user name into post form or does the error just show?

    Does this happen with or without maintenance mode on?

    I’ll back up and reinstall with the download. Org because the current installation was by Softaculous.

    the error is on the profile page when you click send message publishes mention or usurer. @ name

    In normal mode, maintenance mode plugin deactivated.
    thank you

    @josefabiosan Good decision. Webhost installation scripts are not kosher with BP per https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/before-installing/#system-and-server-requirements

    Hello everyone. again with this error mention User. It is famous with the installation in 5 minutes. It happens when the User is marked to receive notification via email if someone mention your User. If you uncheck the option to receive notification via email if someone mention, the error does not occur.

    Hello, same problem here.
    How to fix?

    Error on line 95:
    “Warning: sprintf() [function.sprintf]: Too few arguments in /home/ninstitu/public_html/trevinhodasorte.com.br/comunidade/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-activity/bp-activity-notifications.php on line 95”

    The action itself works, but why the error appears?
    Why the error?
    Remove the notification is not enough, everyone needs to do, much work. It is no longer so easy to fix?
    See the full archive here: http://pastebin.com/R4P5DGbg

    Thankful!

    User error mention corrected!
    “Warning: sprintf() [function.sprintf]: Too few arguments in
    …/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-activity/bp-activity-notifications.php on line 95”

    The problem is that the error is the translation.
    1= To check, remove translation of his country.
    2= Back BuddyPress original translation.
    3=Try a mention again.
    4= If it does not error, returns translation of his country.
    5= Look at this line in the file. Po translation: “%1$s mentioned you in an update:\n\n\”%2$s\”\n\nTo view and respond to the message, log in and visit: %3$s\n\n———————”
    Compare with the translation of his country. Mine was wrong. And now shines BuddyPress!

    Greetings to all!

    Guys, the problem is exactly where @marcio-batista stated.

    You can download the fixed pt_BR translation file on my website:

    http://tecnotara.com/wp-content/languages/buddypress-pt_BR.mo
    http://tecnotara.com/wp-content/languages/buddypress-pt_BR.po

    I fixed the translation on GlotPress also, but it’s waiting approval:

    @joelteixeira The files are no more available. I can fix the .po file myself, but I didn’t understand what’s wrong with it. The translation seems to be correct. But I still get the error.
