Users automatically joining all groups

    Hi there,

    I am using learndash alongside buddypress on my site. I have the latest version of wordpress and the plugins.

    There are various private groups associated to the courses that I have created. The courses are not open courses so students have to subscribe to them. My issue is that the moment a user gets an account, whether it is the paid or free one, the user is automatically part of all the groups.

    I do not know why this is happening and need to stop this. I asked the learndash support and they said that this is an issue with buddypress. I can show you screenshots but don’t have a way to upload it here.

    Do let me know how I can solve this issue.

    If you disable learndash and signup as a new user – are you automatically a member of all groups?

    If not, then issue is somewhere in learndash or a related plugin.

    If you are, then you are running some custom code.
    BuddyPress does not auto-join new members to groups.
