Users Profile Image and Registration Form

Hi there, I’m currently having difficulty with my users profiles on BuddyPress. For some reason when my user clicks Change Profile Photo they are taken to a menu with the options to Create A New DoppelMe™ Avatar or Already Have A DoppelMe™ Avatar? I just want my users to be able to upload images for their profile photos. Any ideas what is going wrong?

Also the registration form seems to have a number of errors with users not receiving activation emails and also getting error messages when completing the form on my register page.

Any help for these will be appreciated

    Thanks Ricky

    Hi @rickymainwaring

    What’s DoppelMe™?

    I have no idea.

For some reason it comes up when users want to change an image.

Is there anywhere I can send you an screenshot of the problem?

Perhaps use http://imgur.com/ to upload a screenshot. Which plugins do you have installed?

Managed to get rid of the Doppelme avatar problem now. Thanks for the help.

Any way I can disable Gravatar and just have an option to upload an image?

In matter of profile photo, i suggest you to use:

and anyway, your user have always the choice to upload their own picture.

Brilliant I managed to solve the issue with the profile photos. Thanks for both your help.

Do either of you have a solution for how to make the register form more reliable?

Some users have been unable to sign up due to ‘weak password’ when the password has been strong and some users have not received a email confirmation to activate their account?

Any ideas on how I can make this part of my website more trustworthy?

    Thanks
