Using a specific group's activity page to replace main site activity

I would like to know if it is possible to replace someone’s home/activity page with a specific group’s activity page in buddypress (each user could have a different group activity page as their home page). Currently, my website is centered around different colleges and so it would be greatly helpful if it was possible to change each users home/activity page to the activity page of their college’s group.
I’m not a developer, more designer, so if this is possible it would be greatly appreciated if it could be explained in very basic terms.
