Using filters to search on the members page (read description)?

    Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on this. What I’m looking to do is something like on this webpage: http://www.beatport.com/artist/sebastian-weikum/137000/tracks?perPage=100
As you can see, there is a ‘filter box’ with keywords that users use to search through the list. I was hoping I would be able to do something similar to that on the ‘Members’ page in buddyoress. I wouldn’t necessarily want to keep the default search bar, unless if it would be easier to use it together with the filter box.

Does anyone have any idea how I would go about doing something like that? I already have most of the code structured out, but its integrating it with wordpress/buddypress, for it to give me results that are profiles, and the right ones, which is causing the problem for me at the moment. What are the variables/functions/… that I would need to use in order to get coherent results?

    Thanks in advance!
