Using First & Last name instead of @username

On our community site, all the usernames are numbers. And when ever someone wants to send a message all use see is @username.

Is there anyway for the First & Last name to show up instead of username when it comes to notification and communicating with other members?

Do you mean in the auto-suggest prompt, or just the @username when it’s mentioned in content?

When you seen a message to anyone it always shows the @username. In general I guess. The names would work much better in our case since all the usernames are numbers.
