I am trying to use the Speed theme to the best of it’s abilities.

There is a beautiful feature of it that presents blog posts on th ehome page using a thumb nail picture and brief intro of a select number of posts.

Can someone help me to get this working?

I cannot see where to put the pictures for the post or how to display the intro.
