Want to use Group Front page but not BP-Album, how?

I want to use the Group Front page plugin but see that it relies on the BP-Album plugin being installed to work. I am already using BP-Gallery so I don’t want to use BP-Album. How can I have BP-Album activated but hidden from the site so that I can use the Group front page plugin?

@frizzo I suggest you ask Brajesh about this, @sbrajesh could certainly create a similar plugin that is compatible with BP Gallery.

Well I don’t mind having BP-Album installed as long as I can hide it’s tab

@frizzo, if you don’t mind the number of plugins in your install, then recommend you ask how to remove the BP Album+ tab where plugin dev can see it https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-album/forum/

Or you could stop using that plugin and follow this tutorial:

It works better for me, since Group Front Page plugin has a horrible template
