Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect error

    Hi,

    I just installed buddypress and on two different sites I’m getting the following error:

    “Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/avatars/1) is not within the allowed path(s): “

    I believe that the path it’s looking for is inside my virtual host path. Is there a way to put a real path in the code or fix this another way?

    Hmm.. Do you have any problems uploading regular pictures to WordPress’ Media Library? Because the /avatars/ folder should be inside your wp-content/blogs.dir/ or wp-content/uploads/ folder.

    OK thanks. You answered the question. The ISP threw me off somewhere else and it didn’t make sense what they had said.
