whats-new-textarea – size

Hello Folks,
Im on the newest update of WP & BP using the Twenty Sixteen theme.
I need helping customizing the “id=”whats-new-textarea” text input area.1) I need the text area to have a different default height
2) I need it to have the “post update” always visible (currently, the user has to have the text area selected for the “post update” button to appear
3) Ideally I’d like to just be able to add a code snippet to the “additional css” screen in the customizer (my customization’s are thru there now)Any guidance would be helpful

This field is visible by default.
If not, so the problem might be with your theme.
