“WordPress Failure Notice” during group creation
-
Greetings,
I’ve seen other topics on this issue, but they are quite old and nobody seemed to post any kind of solution.
I’m using the theme BP-Slick, which is an excellent theme and definitely the one I want to go with for my site release, but if I can’t get this figured out soon I won’t be able to. I should also mention that this is a theme specific problem, but the theme creator (bowe) suggested that I post here because he is not able to replicate the issue.
As I’m creating a group, when I get to the step right after uploading and cropping the group avatar, clicking on the “Next Step” button takes me to a white page titled “WordPress failure notice”. The page has a box on it that says, “Are you sure you want to do this?” with a link underneath that says “Please try again”. The group does get created, but something is obviously broken and I can’t have my users dealing with this issue.
Reading up on this it seems that it’s a wordpress nonce issue, but nobody seems to agree on what exactly causes it or how to fix it.
I’m running WP 3.0.4 Multisite (subdirectories) and BP 1.2.7
Fresh, clean install on a brand new database with NO plugins enabled (except buddypress)
Theme specific. Again, this error only happens when using BP-Slick, other themes work just fine.
