Any fields you enter in the Base field group should be displayed on the right hand side of the registration form under the Name field automatically.

I’m not sure what setup you have got but if you set it up running the 2017 theme, only BuddyPress running, do you still not see those extra fields?

OK, I setup a new page called Register and linked it to BP, I logged uut to look at it and it had all of your fields, you just need to add it to your BuddyPress menu, replacing the current page. That should do it.

Not sure what you mean regarding admin including group members, you mean how group members can be added as group administrators? you can promote them in the manage members page for the group.

Invite anyone is a plugin that will allow you to invite all site members to the group not just friends, that might be what you are looking for.

Sounds like you would need some custom code to check if a member is a members of a croup and then promote them to contributor if they are and also to determine what profile data they can change depending on role.

Ah sorry I thought you were looking for a code example. One way to get the list of a users groups is to use BP Profile Shortcodes Extra, this has a shortcode that will list a members groups in a number of ways, maybe that can give you some ideas?

To get a users groups you generally would need to run some code, it’s not as simple as looking up a single profile field.
