Hi,

I have installed WP+BP+bbPress and I’m wondering if there is a way to work with optional profile fields only when using the extended profiles?

So, that’s the situation:
User > Profile fields
# Fieldgroup: “some fieldgroup (primary)”
# Fields: “name (primary) (required)”
But I don’t have any field that users will share for sure. So my fields (just 2 or 3) should be optional, none of them required.

I can’t remove the initial field, I can’t change the type using xProfiles, I can’t remove the primary fieldgroup… what should I do now? Is there a work-around (or am I blind?) or is there another profile plugin that I can use instead of the build-in?
