wp-admin bar showing up in my footer

  • I recently had to transfer my BuddyPress site to a new server. I had to cobble together from a couple of versions of BuddyPress to a new remote server.

Updated to WordPress 1.3.2, BuddyPress 1.2.9, PlatformPro 1.5.2 w/ Platformbase 1.0.3 child theme and all plugins are updated. Everything looks fine except the wp-admin bar that appears with BuddyPress sites looks like a bunch of unstyled links at the bottom of my pages. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Thanks.

Usually this is a result of a scripting error like a JavaScript clash. It’s a bit of a process but my first recommendation would be to remove all plugins (bar BuddyPress) then add each in. If you could provide a link assuming site is live maybe this could be confirmed.

I’d also check you are including the BuddyPress admin bar styling in your theme… I assume you are?

    Thanks Tammie,

How do I confirm that I’m including the BuddyPress admin bar styling? Its been a long time since I’ve looked at a BuddyPress installation. I tried to include a link to the site but apparently we aren’t allowed because the forum stripped it out. Trying again Thanks.

    Hi Tammie,

Looks like I had a few plugins previously installed that needed to be turned on. I turned on the BuddyPress Template Pack and it all dropped into place. Thanks again. You got me to using my head. Thanks!
