WP installed in non-root directory

    A while back I thought I had seen a BP requirement that WP had to be installed in the root directory. I just looked in the installation section of the codex as well as the plugin installation directions for the WP plugin and cannot find such a requirement.

    So, can I install BP if WP is installed in a directory other than root?
