Yes go to their support forum and ask for the support you are entitled to after all that is what they charge for isn’t it? As for anyone here fixing or helping to fix/dealing with issues with premium plugins it shouldn’t happen.
Correct. Sorry for the confusion.
Of course I’m not really saying one isn’t to ask a question about why something isn’t working if one can be specific about a particular issue, but support can’t really be provided in general for premium paid for plugins. It sounds as though the ones you have have not been updated and you will need to ask that question of wpmudevguru doo dah whatsit people
Yeah, but the forum requires a re-up on subscription. Tough community over there I guess.
Open source and the buddypress forum is the way to go
It is! I bite my tongue on this whole issue as my opinions should not be aired publicly
The thing I found most irritating with wpmudev is when you want to make a small change to one of their plugins, they mainly say, ” something to look into for the next up date..” which I guess is to keep you subscribed. I have discussed with ‘some guys’ on the bp forum about me releasing some of their plugins, though I would only do it if ppl would help make the necessary changes I asked for at wpmudev but got the “in the next update” solution..
But you’d have to buy the subscription to know that! Well, it’s good to know this forum is the best value and won’t bait-and-switch any users.
Per WordPress licensing, plugins and themes really should be free and people should charge for support and customization. If someone is selling ‘support’ under the guise to sell themes or plugins and not giving support it’s their own fault if somebody releases the paid plugins to everyone.
The best way to go about it, in my opinion, is to release themes or plugins as a free version and then have some with paid support and more options.
