I tried a few things, but nothing worked. It appears to strip out anything but plain text.

Hi @stephunique,
In my case, the issue was due to a conflict with Redis object cache. I had to deactivate the plugin and now BP is working fine.

Also running into this. Seems that the use of __ in the constructor the cause.
