That did work, thanks, @mastershas!
I’m using the GeneratePress theme, @mastershas. I’ve created a child theme already, so I need to go and ask the theme developer which function I need to alter?
In reply to: BuddyPress doesn't save Search page choiceIt could be from the X2 theme, but it was under WordPress -> Settings -> BuddyPress -> Pages, so I assumed it was BuddyPress.
If that’s the case, I need to find a good BuddyPress-powered theme that would work for my music site until I can afford a custom one. Any suggestions?
In reply to: Reinstall BuddyPress without 404 errors?I’m completely reinstalling BuddyPress (I had installed and working before, but I deleted it cause I thought it wasn’t working smoothly with another plugin I installed after it.) – like I said I want to avoid reinstalling WordPress if I can because of the number of users (about 50, but they are all fellow fan fiction writers and.or readers like myself).
When I tried it myself, I made sure I correctly created and associated the various pages with the BuddyPress components that needed them. I then went to check out my profile and got a 404, after getting a few more of those, I went and removed it again.
In reply to: No all-in-one event calendar plug-in for Buddypress?I can use this functionality for my Christian community website as well. I’m currently using Community Events, but it’s making my widgets go wonky (colors, alignment, etc.), besides the fact that my members cannot submit events themselves. I was using Events Manager, but got frustrated with it.
In reply to: Reinstall BuddyPress without 404 errors?Apparently you didn’t understand my post correctly. I said I was planning on reinstalling BuddyPress, not installing it. Your help is not useful, because you didn’t understand my post correctly.
I knew I was forgetting something! Thanks! 😀
Nothing really, so I went and switched the two sites to other software. 🙁
It needs to be updated for 1.6.4, that’s what I’m running. 🙁
In reply to: More than just an option to add someone as a friend?Twitter uses followers, LinkedIn uses contacts, Facebook and Google+ use friends (but Google+ at least allows you to define what level of friendship it is via circles).
Adding more than one option than just “friend” makes sense to me, it’s why I suggested it.
In reply to: More than just an option to add someone as a friend?@kizzywizzy
Ideally:- Contact
- Friend
- Family
- Co-worker
But maybe it could be flexible so that people could adjust it according to their needs? Not everyone is going to need every option I would think.

In reply to: Plugin to remove multiple groups at once?@mercime That one is incompatible with the latest version of BoddyPress.
In reply to: Memory overflow with BP plugins.Thank you! I hope by adding that to wp_config, I won’t get that annoying message again! If not, I’ll have to talk to my host I guess.
In reply to: Google not indexing BuddyPress Forum contentI’m also interested in this, as forums will be an important part of my site when I put it up.
In reply to: Is there a plugin that does this…?@mercime: Thanks for the reply. Guess I have to get someone to make it when I need it.
