Change the word “Register” in the wp adminbar

Trying to create a function that will parse the Register link in the admin bar to change the text. I’ve got it deployed on multisite and I’m using the WordPress Admin Bar (not the buddybar)

I want it to say something like “Register a new [insert network name] account”.

Any ideas on how to do this? I’ve already been through some functions in the WP core code and tried to modify them with a new function but it didn’t work. Inspecting the element shows me that the Register link is called wp-admin-bar-bp-register by id – that leads me to believe that I need to modify some function from BP. I’ve been through the code, but can’t seem to figure it out. Can someone help me out with this?

I intend to deploy the function as part of a mu-plugin that I use to brand and modify my admin bar
