Registration Button Not Working

Hi.

I have just installed WPMU 2.8.5.2 and BuddyPress 1.1.2 using the default BuddyPress theme.

Everything works fine, or seems to, except for the “Create Account” button that is displayed under the Welcome text on the main page. The button is meant to go to deise.net/register but it just stays on the main page.

Any ideas on how this can be resolved?

Did you alter any files in the default theme?

Hi r-a-y,

Nope none at all pal. Haven’t modified a single bit of code, except to edit the wp-config file when installing MU.

That was it.

This problem seem to happen more and more often, people trying to use the buddypress components that get redirected back to the home page.

Had the problem on my localhost too. Probably has something to do with mod_rewrite..

@vichost : Please enable user registration from admin interface.

1. Login to the site with admin

2. Goto “Site Admin” -> “Options” or domainname.com/wp-admin/wpmu-options.php

3. Enable registration from “Allow new registrations” section.
