I’am working in a BuddyPress based project. At moment I’am trying to understand how I put widget (like tags box, recent comments, etc) in the home page, something like those examples:
It is a kind of plugin or is and php code?
test and learn with the buddypress-widget_theme, specially designed for the homepage and with widgets on 3 cols

But you can’t put widgets on a page, wright?
And i think that is what he wants, a page (home) and then the widgets on it for tags and stuff.

Yes, you can put widgets on a page. If you create a page template with widget areas in it, you can assign that template to any page you create in WordPress. Then put your widgets on that page under “Appearance” > “Widgets”.
