Is there a way to block these annoying activity stream updates?

“username joined the group YOGA”
“username and anotheruser are now friends”
“username changed their profile picture”
“username became a registered member”

There used to be a plugin that took care of this all together, it was called Buddypress Block Activity Stream Types – https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-block-activity-stream-types/
Only issue is it no longer works on the new Buddypress 2. It stopped working almost 6-8 months ago. Maybe even more.

Please help! I know there is some extremely genius person out there who is giggling at my issue because they know how easy it is to do. 😉
