Activate and Register Pages do not exist

I am trying to set up BuddyPress to create an activity stream. I am getting this error: Activate and Register Pages do not exist. The “repair” button does not add the pages. I tried changing to Twenty twelve, and deactivating all the plug ins. In general settings, “anyone can register” is allowed. Nothing helps. I am using GoDaddy, with a managed wordpress account. I don’t know how to code.
Any suggestions for how I can manually create these pages and get this working? I tried reading all the other threads, and following whatever directions I could, but I haven’t fixed the problem.
Thank you so much for your help.

    running wordpress 4.1.1, buddypress 2.2.1. website: thewriterintheworld.com

Create a page titled ‘Register’. Leave everything else blank. Publish the page.

Create a page titled ‘Activate’. Leave everything else blank. Publish the page.

Click the ‘repair’ button and assign those pages and save.

    OR
You can enter the pages in the buddypress settings page and then you can match to your pages…

Thank you both very much! After struggling for so long, this seems to work. Here’s a question about the activity page. I renamed it to Community Updates, but when it comes up, it still says “Site-wide activity”…Any thoughts on that? (Do I need to ask that somewhere else?)

Although you renamed community updates, the page’s title seems site-wide Activity?

Yes, I think I may have found another thread that can help with that… thank you!

I found the solution to changing the title here – https://buddypress.org/support/topic/customizing-buddypress-activity-wall/#post-237312 – but now none of my posts are showing… What did I do wrong? Is there another file I have to change?

Thanks for solution. Your posts none show in homepage? Maybe Some function was deleted on homepage’s source code.
