Beginner’s Problem
-
Heya! I’m really looking forward to using BuddyPress for an upcoming project. However I am having trouble with one part. This is how I’ve installed BP.
1. I’m using WordPress and creating my own theme (not child theme).
2. I’ve installed the BP-plugin through the admin panel in WordPress.
3. I’ve assigned the specific sites to register, activate etc.
4. ProblemMy problem is that the pages don’t show anything. I mean literally they don’t find anything to show. I’ve been scouring the web for some guidance on how to fix BP with a custom theme but I’ve come up with one solution only. That was to put the bp-template-pack files in my root folder (where I up until now had no BP files) and that makes it work. It displays all the flows, the user page, the register and so on.
But, however, I feel this is probably not how it’s supposed to work. As I can’t find any updated version of bp-template-pack, but one that is for BP 1.5 (and now it’s what, 2.3?)
Can anyone please help me understand how this works. I can obviously get it working up until I’ve assigned all the pages. After that I can’t manage to get the information to display under the links. Do I need to enable some sort of theme compatibility in functions? Is there a new bp-template-pack?
Sincerely, Sebastian
