Forum/FAQ search? Tab hiding?

    Hello,

    I’m new to buddypress. I can’t find an intro to basic “FAQ before you Ask” section and can’t find any way to search the forums. Could someone point me in the right direction?

    The question I want to ask is “How do I hide/remove certain pages from the header menu? I just installed Buddypress and pages that had no tabs on my previous theme because they were hidden all suddenly showed up. You can check it out at http://www.greatperformances.ca to see what I mean.”

    Thank you for a start in this!

    simple, just go to your dashboard with wordpress and go to menu section then deselect the tabs you don’t need from the menu you have. or if you don’t have any menus you can create your custom menu from there. if you have any future questions let me know at: raminrahim@hotmail.com I am intermediate with wp/bp. we all help each other in this forum.

Also, check out the BuddyPress Codex pages for documentation like https://codex.buddypress.org/extending-buddypress/how-to-set-up-your-main-site-navigation-using-the-built-in-wordpress-menus/ Then you could also add special BP menus using https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-profile-menu/

    Hi thank you for this.

    When I click on the first link (the codex) I get a 500 error.

    The buddypress profile menu looks very promising. I will be installing that.

    The other question I had is if there is a search function for the FAQ/Support? I can’t find one.

    On the new codex them, there is a search form in the right sidebar.

    Where is the new codex? When I click on “Documentation” in the header, I also get a 500 error.
