So, I’ve gotten my first spam on the BuddyPress.org community…

To whomever takes care of the membership, please delete user rita4u for “she” is sending out spam.

haha. Yep me too. I looked for that user in the bbpress user db and it doesn’t exist there. Seems to be a bp only user so mods don’t have access. I sent a PM to Andy about it.

I have suggested a function to enable bp users to decide either to receive mails only from their friends before. I think we DO NEED this function. Users will leave if they receive such messages.

I received a spam message from rita4u as well.

Those kind of messages seems to appear on lots of communities nowadays, I guess its impossible to remove them automatically.

The BuddyPress Privacy component will allow users the ability to decide who can send them PMs.

Jeff – I got one too. She mentioned she didn’t like Goatee’s. Maybe that has something to do with it
