Activated BuddyPress, but now I can’t access my WP admin panel. When I go to http://www.sitename.com/wp-login-php, it takes me to th efront page of my theme and has me logged in as a user only. How can I get back to my admin panel?

Deactivate BuddyPress plugin by renaming its folder in server via FTP/cpanel.

@John, I’m guessing you’re using Firefox possibly?

I have the same issue using FF, but IE works fine… actually came here looking for a solutions to that issue.
