On my website at transitionvoice.com when I have Buddypress running, the login link in the admin bar redirects incorrectly to a 404 page. The register and logout links are fine. I’ve had to temporarily disable Buddypress because I was getting complaints, but does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

What plugins are you using? Does the problem persist when you enable bp-default instead of your custom theme?

Any solution to this? I’m having this problem now after I moved from /wordpress subdirectory to root.

Are you sure it’s caused by BuddyPress? Deactivate BP and see if your WP pages and posts are not redirecting to 404 as well after the transfer from subdirectory to root. WP/BP versions?

it’s probably the line 45 in bp-core-admin-bar.php:

`root_domain . ‘/wp-login.php?redirect_to=’ . urlencode( $bp->root_domain ) . ‘”>’ . __( ‘Log In’, ‘buddypress’ ) . ‘`

I am having the same problem – except it goes to my “index” and not my homepage when I log off…

@ All – WP/BP versions? Have you deactivate all plugins except BuddyPress and changed to bp-default theme? That is not default behavior so something’s interfering with the login.
