I have a question I’m looking for the answer to, but I can’t find a way to search this Forum! The only search box I can find is the one that appears next to “Site ActivityYour ActivityEdit ProfileEdit Settings” and when I use it, no matter what terms I enter, I alwas go to the blog post that says “1.6 now available!!” I spent a lot of time getting BP installed on my site, and even purchased a theme for it, and now I’m worried that if your own forum doesn’t work right, how can I possibly get it to work right for me?

The question that brought me here is: Where can I set up that registrants need to be approved by an admin?

http://testbp.org works a bit better, but I still don’t think there’s any searching of forums on there.

So you mean to tell me that this support forum, that boasts “42,540 forum posts” does not have way to search it? What kind of support is that? I don’t have three days to read 42K posts. I just want to know how (or if) I can set up my BP so that I have to approve registration requests.

Yeah, I found that the search box on this site is broken too. Also the sidebar login widget redirects you to the home page instead of the page you were on, which is super annoying.

Anyway, I’m pretty sure you can use Google to search this site. use “your search term site:buddypress.org”

That is pretty lame. I’m surprised they haven’t found it. Its very hard to find my questions on here. But thanks for the tip

Yes, we all seem to have experienced the same problem. I tend to be very critical re these things but I guess being free and a community we should hold back and let the community and site grow. Still a search would save a lot of time
