@aaclayton have you tried contacting your host? You need to verify if these emails are actually being sent by your mail server. If they are being sent and received, then the problem could be with the actual activation link.
Have you tried disabling all of your plugins? I realise the site is live so that might not be possible.

@aaclayton Thanks for responding! I will give that a go, but i think it’s beyond my skill level. I was hoping i could pop in something like bp_reset and everything would be cool…

@aaclayton – It sounds like you have/had a plugin or theme conflict of some sort, as SI Captcha should work out of the box. Good to hear you found a plugin that works.
