the .mo file must be named buddypress-xx_XX.mo and should be in
wp-content/languages/buddypress-xx_XX.mo
xx_XX is the language prefix (use buddypress-id_ID.mo)http://www.gnu.org/software/gettext/manual/html_node/Usual-Language-Codes.html

@afjsystem can you check if you can see the Profile and Settings pages if you change to BP Default theme?
