@ronia – very unlikely – the plugin will undoubtedly be deeply intertwined with Google maps API

This looks like a very promising plugin…but it doesn’t work properly on 2 of my 1.2.7 installs but does work on one other. This makes me a little nervous about committing to it on that one site. So I’m with Stacy on this one – is this plugin being updated?

I use this little plugin https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/custom-profile-filters-for-buddypress/ The description is not really that helpful. basically you can define certain xprofile fields to link directly to external URLs. e.g youtube, facebook, twitter, external website….etc etc you need to manually alter the .php file in the instruction…[Read more]

I have the same problem with the activity stream not working – great plugin otherwise – when is 0.1.9 due for beta release. I seem to recall seeing somewhere that you were aiming for 16 Dec 2010 – or is that wishful thinking…:)

@en3r0 – as far as I am aware this plugin appears to have been abandoned. I have tried it myself and it does not work. I have seen no activity for months and the plugin site has been down for a long time. possibly a lost cause….the good news is though – we have one available […]

@travel-junkie Buddyvents looks like a really smart plugin. I am about to release a new Buddypress members mapping plugin called glocate and am very interested in how you are licencing Buddyvents. I also think you are right to charge, looking aroung there is nothing that comes close for events in BP

I had planned a couple of buddypress sites based on members location and was originally going to use Buddypress Maps plugin. That seems to have fallen by the wayside for some reason. Rather than waiting to see if it gets picked up again (which is looking unlikely) and the fact that nothing really covers BP […]

@msmalley – I am very impressed by this plugin even in this early stage of development – I am very keen to see a working plugin for BuddyPress that works across members profiles, groups and sitewide tagging which presents browsers with location centric information of other members based on the browsers IP location and member profile […]
