When i use those codes on a author template, nothing shows 🙁

Here’s my main problem, i run the detube theme from themeforest – and i want to integrate recent uploads and likes in to one of the bp profile pages. This info is normally shown in an author page, thus it knows what author uploads to display.

When i put this code in the buddypress profile it doesnt ”see” what author should be shown, and displays the general recent uploads and likes.

How can i ”trick” a piece of code the think that its on an author page but its on a bp page… ( did all that make sense? )

@hnla this is not my intention, but i’d rather ask then just take the design and code the php myself…

Thanks for your reply I love the snippit feature, but what I and i guess other users mean is if you could share the code used to build mashan.com

I can imagine developers jumping for the notifications up top with the dropdowns and a few other features. Would that be possible to share ?

Im specially interested i nyour mediashare module in the activity stream and the notifications up top, those look outstanding man!

Running BP 1.6.1 and WP 3.4.2.

What are you running? What is not working?

Hey @sobuddy

Please checkout /_inc/css/default.css in your theme folder, search for button and replace the css accordingly.

Keep in mind, that if you do this in your main bp-default folder your changes will be erased when you upgrade BuddyPress. Child-Themes are advised

Firstly, I would like to know if I already have a wordpress site up and running and with a template that is not buddypress. If I install buddypress on that site, would it fit in with the current template or would I have to change my look?

Answer: You will need to integrate the new BP templates with your current theme. The plugin BP Template Pack guides you through this process and is available fro FWEE! in the plugins directory .

I am still finding my way around plugins/ addons but would normal wordpress plugins still work with buddypress?

Answer: This depends on the plugin and it’s functionality – to my knowledge, trial and error is the bestway

My site would be a Christian portal with community features. Where is best to get buddypress plugins from?

This sounds to me like a loading problem – make sure the their Suffision BP Pack is correct cause it sounds like it aint loading the ajax.php and global.js file located in the /_inc/ folder…

About the responsive part – im looking into making a ”fullfeatured webapp”. With that i mean fullscreen app, loadingscreens for iphone/ipad and a e.g facebook like interface.

I havent decided on that interface though, so feedback would be appreciated
Anyone knows any good mobile webapp frameworks?

Little update guys, thanks to Frank ( find him on mm ) the footer is now widgetized.
Right now i’m integrating Live Updates, a visual when a user gets a message, friend request, mention or invite

Any other suggestions for a new theme ?
