Alright future folks still following this saga, I think I figured it out via this article:

In the end, it seems as if the problem had to do with the BP registration page blocking a redirect or something, which caused some of it to be served with www. and some without www. This triggered Google/Firefox security to block some fonts and screw everything up. So, I then used the ‘Better Search Replace’ plugin to replace every URL on my site with the www. version. As of now, it seems to be all fixed, once I cleared the cache of course.

So, turns out that wasn’t the solution. It now works in FF but not Chrome, but it’s very inconsistent. Problem might be here, but I wouldn’t know how to fix it: https://gyazo.com/f158636f0c63c1c058bb5a5634581445

To wrap up the topic, changing to Legacy from Noveau appears to have done the trick. I hope this helps the next guy.

It’s likely the email then. The only gmail address that worked was my gf who registered long ago as a test. But again, maybe not. The Events Manager support tried and failed on chrome with a non-gmail address, but it worked on Safari.

I’m pretty sure it doesn’t have anything to do with the password strength though because I’ve tried both weak and strong passwords every time.

What browser are you using? It seems to be a chrome problem because a friend said it works in safari.

I had a few plugins: Sucuri , login lockdown, and loginpress, but I just deactivated those and still nothing.

Also, I said a couple people did go through. Literally a couple. The rest did not, and it doesn’t have anything to do with password strength.

Oh no, it is for sure a problem, 100%. There were multiple people that couldn’t register on reddit that told me they used generated passwords and lowercase passwords and I can’t even register myself right now.

It’s not through elementor. It’s just the default BP login page. I’m not sure if Events Manager changes the layout though, but its deactivation didn’t fix the problem.
