In theory, could this be used on group pages too?
Yeah $50 for just that plugin is a little steep… I’d rather support Nicola to make it.
Yeah it looks fantastic… Massive improvement. Nice to see buddypress is now running on it’s own software!
There was some discussion on this forum a while ago about someone developing a plugin that allows users to define passwords themselves. Anyone know if there’s been any progress on that?
Would certainly be useful – I’m beta testing at the moment, and that’s one of the most requested features from my users.
@mesgains – thanks for that. Working perfectly for me now.
Yeah, openX is by far the best the best option – If you’re smart enough when setting it all up, you’ll be able to produce some fantastic results and generate invaluable learnings on user habits which you can then use in turn to make more cash.
If you run a number of sites, it really comes into it’s own – You’ll essentially have your own ad network with the ability to gather learnings from each of your sites – find out which ads generate the best CTR’s and as a result give you more money. It’s even better if you can get pixels placed on the confirmation pages for whoever you’re advertising as then you’ll be able to work back to an average eCPM.
Oh, and you can even track adsense clicks with it too. Highly recommended.
enlightenmental1, I just ended up using your fix. Does the job for now – I can see issues when upgrading bp but I’ll cross that hurdle when I get to it.
Thanks
Actually it’s pretty easy to see what profile fields are called in the DB – Check the wp_bp_xprofile_fields table and you’ll have an ID associated with each field which you should be able to use to call them.
Hi Nicola,
Thanks for the tip above.
Maybe I’m missing something here, but are we talking about bp-groups.php here?
I’ve searched for a number of strings including ‘bp_core_add_subnav_item’ in there, and I’ve not been able to find anything.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
Cheers,
bn
I’ll jump on the wagon here – has there been any progress since this series of posts?
This support forum looks great, and as all I’m using is a modified buddypress theme whatever this site uses would be perfect.
Anything around that could do the job?
The prospect of starting from scratch isn’t something I’m particularly keen on to be honest.
Awesome, thanks.
