Well i am searching why it happends, the page does load and show up but still gives a 404. Will ask the bp developers for info.

@everyone, i think i found the 404 errors and problem with loading the settings page.

It looks like the permalinks are in the way. I will look further to resolve the error.

@Gpo1, yes the then comment on the tweets but the comments won’t be synced to twitter.

@Avi M, that happends when you don’t set a callback url when you create the app on twitter.

@geoffm33, strange but will look into it

About the whole @mention thing everybody wants something else i think.

Maybe there must be an option for the admin to say to filter out completely the @ messages from twitter.

When turned off then we have some kind of @mention convertion.

What do you think of that?

hmm strange bud glad to here that its working now

Will see if i can speed up the import.

Will filter out the @ to and from twitter but not the whole mention because then you can get really weird tweets.

Another cool thing is that on creation of a forum topic it can be tweeted to with a nice tinyurl backlink!

Will be there in the next release.

also fixed the security leak. Its now not possible anymore to change the url and access another user settings.

Well not really it can be done live but the problem is that there is a rate limit… and we don’t want any catfight with twitter.

but it checks the hour format example: last update whas at 22pm and time is 23pm then update. etc…

Back from the weekend, had my and my girlfriends birthday party so no time to code etc.

@mmeida, still having problems for bp to twitter? did you setup the access (when creating apps on twitter) on read and write?

I will release a new version soon, i hope tonight or tomorrow.

What will be in the new release:

– Hard-coded faboo.nl will be removed (oops..)

– Link tot profile page in tweet will be optional per user (user settings)

– Syncing from twitter to bp can be turned off (user settings)

– Preparation for localisation (next version i promise to have a language file)

– Posted “an” tweet type will be fixed

– Link on profile page “Want to tweet…” can be turned off for all users (admin settings)

@MichaelBerra, hmm strange, when you click that link you will get to the settings page.

From there you need to authorize on twitter. when back from twitter you should be back at the settings page.

Now you wil see a checkbox instead a text with a link.

Tip: if you click to authorize at twitter you should see a code in de adressbar (token), if not then something went wrong in the tweetstream settings (wp-admin)

Translation will come in next version, need to find out how to create a darn .pot file.

Option for sync from twitter to bp will be there in the next release (to turn it on/off)

There i no need to create an option to turn off bp to twitter because there is an checkbox that does that already.

@bnt76, well every account got rate-limits of max 150 per hour. I dont want to make a fight with twitter about it will see i i can think of something to this problem.

@ashfame, only if the twitter api consumer key is not set in the wp-admin it will not show up. You’r sure you filled in those fields?
