Ok thanks. So now I have JJJ’s workaround and I was able to activate the plugin.

There is clearly something wrong with my xmlrpc. I am unable to bring over any data and so this goes back to the fact that my forums won’t sync. When I go to my XMLRPC page(http://phoenix.fanster.com/xmlrpc.php) I am getting this error:

XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.

Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

Yeah so I had that current version of the plugin and am still having errors. Any reason why this would not activate in BBpress? Is there something it checks for? I have been having other issues with my forums, but I still cant see a reason why it wouldn’t activate!

Works great. Love it! Only thing I would like to see added is the ability to connect your current account with your facebook, that way if you are say an admin I don’t have to log into the other account to have comments show up on facebook and all that…

Ok so this was fixed by adding in the nonce stuff from RC1. I didnt follow the upgrade instructions properly from beta2 to RC1…

It should be noted that now I don’t get the error message anymore, but my forums are still not synced up.

Ok so…integration for me is working between BBpress Alpha 1.6, Buddypress RC1 and WPMU 2.7. I can seamlessly switch between platforms while logged in. Everything is installed properly…However when I go to activate/enable any forum for a group i get this:

Hmmm….I just installed the plugin and am getting the setting page. I have already set up the proper facebook API Key and Secret and am not seeing anything….

Is it because I am running RC1?

Do your directories work? Members, Groups, Blogs? Or is this just the widgets? Yup directories work fine, and the ajax even works on member themes (most of the time)

Ok so…I have successfully installed bbpress, WPMU and buddypress via the instructions here…Still getting this when trying to create forum: “Attention Site Admin: Group forums require correct setup and configuration of a bbPress installation.”

I have ran through the steps 10 times and have MU 2.7, bbpress 1.0-alpha-6 & Buddypress beta 2.

I also should know that in dev, I followed all the same steps and had success. Would there be any reason why cookies work, duplicate log-ins work and yet no forum sync up?

Yeah I agree that there should be a MU pass-through for the Buddypress plugins to work on bbpress. I don’t see why they wouldnt since everything is fully integrated, but for some reason they are not. This also, makes me wonder how Nicola gets avatars to show up on the bbpress side. I am having some issues with that as well! Any ideas? I would love to see the forum theme that Nicola is using and make my modifications off of that!

Yeah, I think in general it would be nice if buddypress played well with the wpmu profile fields, or at least if they could snyc up somehow. I was able to manually run some mysql queries to import all of my old data, but being able to use the same “display name” would be helpful!
