  You basically add Boone’s snippet into your theme’s functions.php file. Give it a shot and see what happens.

      You don’t need to change anything since “activity_update” equates to “Show Updates”. Throw it anywhere in functions.php and see what happens!

@rossagrant right now I’m working hard on bp-album because I must add some feature before the gsoc mid-term deadline (july 12), when those features are in place fixing those bug is one of first things in my todo list.

@boonebgorges BBPress has a build in feature that will lock threads after a certain period. I’m not sure how it’s exactly integrated with BP, but you might just turn on the BBPress option.

I’ve got a quick question from a newbie to BP. What are you using to aggregate feeds on the front page of the Academic Commons?

Am also trying to figure out issues with the Groupblogs plugin – Catchable error on line 488.

Any advice would be great.

Hi @boonebgorges, on the Group forum page, an extra table cell is created for the Mute/Follow button, however there is no table heading so throws out my theme at least.

Also, Is it possible to get the button to show when viewing the Forums page (outside of Group)?

It probably is more an issue of a way for users to submit blog posts to the admin for consideration to be featured in some area of the WPMS. Maybe this is something academic WPMS users might collaborate on.

@boonebgorges @boonebgorges : I want to have a subset of the functionality provided by you plugin – Group subscription. I just want the ability for Group Admins to be able to send Emails to all group members. And the group members should just be able to enable/disable to this emails. Can you guide me on how this can be achieved. Thanks.

@boonebgorges and @turquoisefish FYI there is a free plugin by @sbrajesh which brings the Wire back to BuddyPress 1.2 and another way using the Activity section as Wire in BP 1.2 themes
