Have you associated buddypress pages in dashboard/settings/buddypress/pages?
This tends to happen when one does not check the anyone can register box beside membership in dashboard/settings/general before activating buddypress because then the pages are not automatically associated. You will have to manually associate the pages.

Add this if your using that old outdated plugin:

/* Stop errors if any */
error_reporting(E_ERROR | E_PARSE);
/* End Stop Errors */

Not sure without more detail what your looking for but you can look over one of my plugins that does this. Please note it hasn’t been updated in about 10 months. Maybe you can get something out of it and I am sure there are many other plugins you can study as well.

Yes and it also blocks RSS feeds as well from Google. It won’t remove the things Google already indexed but it should prevent any further indexing of your sites activity etc. Just make sure to read the F.A.Q. before activating the plugin.

You will probably find after clicking the activation email that you can actually log in to the site if you want to try it even though the invalid activation key message is displayed. This issue has been brought up many times on the forums so do a search of how others resolved it.

Just be aware that if your members navigate to your-site/members/USER-NAME/profile they will still be able to access that members profile by simply typing in the URL. Good luck!

Do you mean keep profiles private from logged out visitors or do you mean keep profiles private for logged in users? Please clarify a little better as to what your trying to achieve.
