The developer said: “seems like you are using the standalone version of bbPress … we only support BuddyPress’es bbPress forums.”
I don’t have any group forums, as they’re not necessary. Using most recent version of WP & BP under Woo’s Canvas theme. Thanks!

Can someone explain the difference between BuddyPress site-wide forums (bbPress), and if you installed bbPress first and THEN installed BuddyPress?
Here’s my quandary: I want to use the voting-widget plugin. But they only support BuddyPress bbPress site-wide forums. The plugin won’t work, because I installed bbPress first THEN BuddyPress.

Posted this yesterday, but it confused even me — so I’m not surprised it wasn’t addressed.
Basically, I’m using the bbPress login widget to handle site-wide logins.

OK, color me confused. Registration is working (the only thing I changed was not directly linking to the /register page, but I can’t see how that would be an issue), but now there’s another problem.

Entirely perplexed. It was working last week, and check it today and no dice. I’ve run the gamut of Plugins, etc. Upon “Complete Sign-up” the user is redirected right back to the Registration page with everything carrying over except for the passwords.

OK, so I’ve got bbPress 2.3+ running soundly, but I really need the private messaging feature offered by BP. The bbPress folk suggested I just install BP, turn on what I need and I’m good to go.
Of course, nothing’s that easy.
