There’s not very many good solutions for replacing the dashboard for blogging. The only one I know of is P2 and it only integrates partially with BP from what I understand. If you do a search for P2 you’ll see the discussion about how well it works with BP.

That’s the page where you can add more fields that people can fill out at registration and will appear in the person’s profile.

Why not just go into profile field setup and add a new field called “Blog URL” where they can enter their blog? Unless I’m misunderstanding what you want to do.

I’d say add it regardless of if they are clear, accurate and have good grammar. People are usually happy to correct that part of it;-) It’s the starting it that people aren’t as good at.

Yes. I can tell that it’s a lot of code. I’ve been watching and seeing the progress since this is such an important plugin for most sites.

I’ll watch for Tags to be finished since Group albums is really the killer feature for the site I’m building now.

You should also look at: https://buddypress.org/community/groups/welcome-pack/ It’s a great plugin that has lots of Group Add options.

Invite Anyone has a feature that’s close to it too: https://buddypress.org/community/groups/invite-anyone/ It just uses the invite to join to add the group based on the invitation.

I agree the codex needs help. I’ll see about making a few additions. The more the better. If we all share just a little bit, it could be a great resource.
