    Hi @thinlizzie

Thanks for your message — I’ve contacted the developer of WP Events Manager as the emails are part of the plugin and sadly not registered in WP Admin -> Emails -> All Emails

    If/when I find a solution I’ll share here 👍

Oh, so pending approval but still appearing on the members directory?

Hi @venutius, I must apologies as I misunderstood what the plugin was doing — the user role I had setup had manage options enabled so I didn’t see any change.

I have now created a new user role and using the plugin the assigned users can still manage the Group, Members, Activity and emails perfectly without having access to other areas.

The main problem I had was how to email/notify the none admin users that a new member needed approving – after going around in circles I simplified the whole login/registration process by using Gravity Forms which solved some other issues with keeping records and triggering 3rd party services.

Thanks again and sorry for any confusion.

Hi @venutius, not sure if I am missing something, but it doesn’t appear to work – in-fact when enabled and user role is selected the User no only doesn’t receive an email but the notification in BP stops working.

I might look at using a 3rd party registration plugin like Paid Memberships Pro.

    Thanks @venutius,

I did have a look at your plugins but missed this one — looks like it will solve my problem 🙏

    Hi David,

I have been stuck in asimilar loop – have a look in Dashboard > Settings > General Settings > Membership (Anyone can register). If it’s ticked then new members can approve themselves. If unticked then the Admin should get an email with link to approve the new member.

    Regards,
    David

Interestingly, just re-testing “LH Buddypress Email or Message Group Members” and it doesn’t appear to send Emails to all users anyway – as far as I can tell it only sends emails to members who are logged in at the time the email is sent.

BuddyPress Group Email Subscription – https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-group-email-subscription/ does work as described but again doesn’t have the options I need 😕

Thanks @venutius, I’ve looked at this but it doesn’t filter Member Types. I’ll try and contact the developer and see if there is a way to add the functionality.

    Kind regards,
    David

@megseoh did you ever find a solution for this?

I am using “BuddyPress Group Email Subscription” to email Group Members, but would ideally like to selectively email different members based on “Member Types”.

    Anyone have any suggestions?
