@heini , @DJPaul – Works for me in bp-custom.php. Did you wrap the code in open and ending PHP tags?

eg. (replace square brackets with circular brackets).

If that doesn’t work, you can always put the code in your theme’s functions.php.

There were nine pages of feedback in topic about the site redesign started by @DJPaul a while back. Granted, many issues have been resolved since but some more need to be addressed.

  I can actually replicate this pretty consistantly, I’ve even replicated it without have having the check for “logged in users”. @r-a-y BP 1.2.5 WP 3.0 W3 Total Cache 8.5.2

  I use W3 Total Cache, without using its Page Caching feature. That simply doesn’t work with BuddyPress.

Updated to BP 1.2.5 without deactivating plugins on a few sites (not recommended I know) but had no issues.

I do prefer CSS only as well as even dumb guys like myself are able to change CSS.

Because, as you state in the Trac ticket thread, IE 7/8 does not support the :nth-child selector in CSS. But it will work when it’s used in JQuery. It is a simple, single line fix — at least for the alternate table row highlighting.

@DJPaul – It’s because the second parameter got added to the bp_core_get_user_displayname filter in BP 1.2.4. I’m using that second parameter, $member->ID.
