@DJPaul hey paul, I can’t see the tabs and it doesnt work. I tried to load admin.js but nothing happened. I also checked global.js I dont know whats wrong. I cant change anything from the admin panel.

Thanks. That looks really promising…I’m running a couple of eduction sites built with Buddypress – and moderation of content is a concern.

looks like it will be a few months before it’s finished, but a well needed component.
That & the @jeffsayre upcoming privacy plugin will go a long way towards education sites & many others.-
I’m eagerly awaiting Jeff’s privacy plugin…I saw an earlier Beta version of it and it is very cool. Can’t wait for it to be released!! @jeffsayre

I think the others have hit the nail on the head – this sort of project I’d be happy to take on, but I suggest you email @francescolaffi and ask how his project is going, etc.
Also I’d love to see what the noteflight team came up with (learn something new every day)

@DJPaul i installed buddypress 1.2.4.1 to wordpress 2.9.2 and then installed a buddypress template pack. i now can’t log into my wordpress adminpanel/dashboard. when i try to log into the back end, it takes me to the front end of my sight.

Erm. I suggest you rename your wp-content/plugins/ folder to something else, then revisit the backend. It’ll disable all of your plugins (then you can move them back), but at least it should fix things. It’s best if you create a forum post if you need more help, thanks.

@DJPaul – thanks for the feedback… we’ll see what happens.
I didn’t know if there were any ‘obvious’ mods that BP was doing to standard WP sign in (e.g. in the front end sign in, rather than via wp-admin, or in mapping user ids to all the enhanced profile fields), that raised warning flags.

However, having tested in dev installs to WP 3.0 RC2 and not getting the smooth experience I have on WPMU 2.9.2 with BP 1.2.4.1 and with all preferred BP plugins working ; I can only recommend using WP 3.0 with BP 1.2.4.1 in test/dev installs and not in production/live installs. Hi, sorry Alice, I’ve only just seen this message (too many!).
Is it only on the RSS feed you have this problem? Can you give me the URL to the RSS feed so we can see if its a BuddyPress bug or a site bug. Probably easiest if you make a new forum post, then let me know where it is — thanks.

Just a really stupid question. Does your “Welcome Pack” for Buddypress work on WPMU? I installed it for a new site to change the “confirmation” email, but I still received the old – click to confirm your registration email.
It looks like a super cool plugin if only I cen get it to work…

@DJPaul is referring to the pretty permalinks setting within the admin dashboard. Scroll down and click on Settings and then click on Permalinks. Say you select the second choice and save, you will see .htaccess in same folder as wp-config.php
