Is there some kind of definition for what 1.7 means for theme (child theme) development yet? Can someone project a clear vision?

Is that what you are shooting for? This (12-12-12) would be an awesome release date for all of the below:
WP 3.5
BP 1.7
Media 1.0?

The below used to work to help stop spammers, it was placed in the wp-config, however it doesn’t work any longer. Does anyone know the replacement for it?

I have multisite, not sure if that made a difference, however I cannot edit the page from that location. Instead I went through the main blog’s pages, found it and changed the slug. Worked great!

One last question on this cause I think I am still uncertain. If 1.7 contains components does that mean the components will function alongside a users blog? Can a post and user data coexist?

@mercime – because I use wordpress & buddypress, I do my best to not ever rely on anything paid. Do you happen to know of any other way, or will it be built in the future?
