I’ll be a tester
Thanks for your reply John James.
That seems to work for now. I do like it as a temporary measure, how will I know when the other option gets to work?
Thanks again for your help
Thanks for this thread. I’ve got the same problem, when I click on “Blog” and navigate to:
http://yoga.harounkola.com/blog I get the error:
Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.
I’ve got a custom permalink of “/%postname%/” defined in my settings.
With this setting off, it works fine but I’d like to have pretty SEO links instead of an ugly database one.
Can anyone suggest a solution to this for it to work?
Thanks
Tee hee
I found it at the bottom
Thanks Andy
I don’t have much, cause I’m still learning. Should I delete the whole installation and start from scratch or just the BuddyPress?
I chose the domain name before reading the domain policy, so I’ll change that
Thanks again
So I’ve figured out that its my hosting company that’s having a problem with BuddyPress. I’m currently looking for another hosting company and will add my url when I’ve sorted it out.
Still excited, and not as frustrated as before
Sounds great.
I’m still playing around, and looking for the most appropriate hosting company to sign up with to host my WPmu and Buddypress sites, but if a BuddyPress for WordPress is out, that will solve much of my curreny problems with hosting companies
I’m looking for a host and I’ve narrowed it down to either TMD hosting, http://www.tmdhosting.com
or Media Temple
http://mediatemple.net/webhosting/
Does anyone have any experience with both these hosts, and the ease of hosting multiple buddypress installs on their servers.
Which is the better in scalability?
Thanks
Haroun
My site was a buddypress then I tried to see if it was a buddypress problem and so started from scratch.
I still don’t have an answer, I can’t figure out why it doesn’t validate the domains or even how to go about fixing the problem.
Any light you may share on the issue would be greatly appreciated as this will impact my eventual buddypress site too
Thanks for your response Burtadsit, but I’m using a valid email address?
Oh, I meant to say that my current problem is I can’t get a new registration to work. I’ve posted about it at:
https://buddypress.org/forums/topic.php?id=2184
I guess I’m just excited and eager, but stuck and I can’t do anything until I get someone’s advise who’s been through this before
Happy building
This is my notice of a fresh install on

Its my first site, I’ll be relying heavily on these forums to get it to work, but its great to meet and greet everyone here.
Hi
I’m excited to be developing here
