…if it helps any, when I disable the activity stream, I get:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_has_activities() in /home1/seoword1/public_html/selfpublishingreview/wp-content/themes/bp-magazine/includes/function-members.php on line 35

and my issue?…
Anyone?
Found it. It’s in create.php in the theme. I was looking in the BP plugin and WPMU functions.
Thanks a lot for the suggestions. I’ll look into those. I really like how Buddypress links is organized with ratings and creates a directory, but maybe at least I can use a ratings plugin or use both Links and a Gallery plugin.
I’m using the magazine template too and I didn’t touch anything with the activity stream and it looks the same, so must be built into the template itself.
Like what you did with the template too. Mine’s here, more spare: http://www.selfpublishingreview.com
I’ve stared at that many times and can’t figure out what I need to do. As it says there:
“Confusing enough for you? Welcome to event driven programming.”
I was hoping there was maybe a simpler solution.
Thanks, worked!
…is there any way to control this so that it removes links for some words in the description BUT allows links for location? Not the end of the world if it doesn’t, but checking…
Anyone? Really just need to know where to add a remove_filter for links in profile fields.
How do you delete a forum topic – any way besides accessing the database?
edit: (nevermind, found it)
Thanks, but it didn’t do it. That left some stray code beneath the comment box. I don’t actually have <div class=”comment-avatar-box”> in my theme.
This just puts an unlinked http:// for the member beneath the comments:
<?php echo bp_core_get_userlink( $comment->user_id, false, true ) ?>
Anything else to add to that without the avatar code?
Anyone? Googling just comes up with threads here with people asking how to do this.
What do I add to my theme from this?
https://svn.buddypress.org/trunk/bp-themes/bp-default/comments.php
That code doesn’t show up there.
I’ll try, thanks. But people shouldn’t have to add breaks manually. And it’s not just a description thing. Also a problem in forums:
I’m still not getting this to work. Any hints where this can go?
<?php echo bp_core_get_userlink( $comment->user_id, false, true ) ?>
Any progress on this? I like having Location entries clickable (city, state) but nothing in the About section, so I don’t want to turn it off completely.
For me, this doesn’t happen every time. Most times, the About field info isn’t clickable. But when I added HTML (to see if it worked) then deleted that info and added something else, the new info was clickable.
Tried that. No go.
Resolved. Panic over – an htaccess issue.
I agree. Anyone know of any hack to delete duplicate streams (besides manually going into phpmyadmin)? On a profile, it can list the same blog entry several times.
I’ll look into it, thanks. Is this plugin recommended for Buddypress?
Nevermind – I’ve been creating users on the backend as the admin. When I login as that user and add content (new avatar or something) the member shows up in the list.
The add members default doesn’t seem to be working, as I’m selecting Contributor and it’s still coming up Subscriber. Could this be because the buttons are messed up? Under Default Moderator Role it lists Editor and Author twice and then the button for Contributor (for Default Member Role) is on the moderator line.
I’d be interested in this as well – it’d be good to have the ability to add ads or anything else on group, etc. pages.
But that still searches blogs, not posts (and nothing comes up for blogs anyway, no matter what the search). I’d be happy with a sitewide search including members, forums, and groups, and posts and list it as Site.
